The Learning Zone Design Consultation
The Learning Zone is the first phase of the transformational scheme to deliver 21st century learning on The Works site, including a Leisure Centre, 3-16 provision, special educational needs provision and an Arts Centre.
It is intended that the Learning Zone (LZ) will provide a range of academic and vocational courses to post 16 learners in the area.
The LZ is a partnership between Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council, Coleg Gwent and the University of Wales Newport. Construction is programmedto commence (subject to statutory permission) in 2010 allowing the facility to open in 2012/2013.
The documents set out the ambitious designs for the LZ and seeks people's views of the proposed design of the scheme.
