Basement Park
The new public spaces are an important part of the redevelopment of the Former Steelworks site.
The basement park will:
- Attract users from all age groups
- Encourage a diverse use of experiences and activities for the local community
- Invite regional interest
- Provide an environment which ties with their proposed surrounding land use and character
- Refer to the site’s previous character to present a cultural link to what a singular prominent industry provided to this particular region.
